I was very nervous about this buffet after reading a lot of negative reviews. My fiance and I with 2 other friend went for the friday night seafood buffet. There was an initial wait although very short, maybe 5 minutes, to be seated. Our server was quick with to drink orders and drinks themselves. As for the buffet there was a much larger selection than I had initially thought there would be. There was: the typical salad bar seafood bisque fried clam strips fried shrimp hushpuppies a condiment station with cocktail, tartar and lemon wedges crab stuffed flounder pan seared salmon seafood mac n cheese stuffed chicken breast grilled steak (cooked to medium) mussels clams large stuffed clams pizzas spaghetti and meatballs new potatoes with cheese green beans a huge mount of crab legs and peel and eat shrimp over ice a carving station with ham the normal dessert station Those are just a few I remembered. The Stuffed chicken was about the only thing I tried that I didn't care for. The crab stuffed flounder and seafood mac were phenomenal, def my favorite part of the buffet. The buffet was well stocked and none of the dishes were allow to run out. The server was a little slow to clear out plates even though we were seated next to the server station and could see 2 just chatting and 1 on her cellphone. I have never tried the normal buffets but the Friday night seafood one is well worth the money. I will definitely be back. As a side note, new players club card members receive $2 the buffet so my fiance and I signed up for the cards and received a $4 discount on our dinners.

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. It's like all-you-can-eat school cafeteria food that's been left out a few days and remicrowaved. Eat here only if you hate yourself.

My family went to the buffet at Mt. Airy casino a few weeks ago. I read online what food they offered but was disappointed once I got there. For the $18.99 per person price, I just didn't feel like it was worth it. The crab legs were sopped in salty water; barely edible. I know crab legs at buffets aren't the best however, I've tasted better crab legs at a local China Buffet! The best thing I had was the salad bar. If you are at the casino and they include the buffet then might as well go however, I wouldn't pay to go there again.

We ate here for a late lunch while staying at casino. Great value, great price and the food was really good staff was great! $35 for two people ... Not that expensive!

We chose to eat there based on the website - "Our seafood station alone features fresh gulf shrimp, snow crab, lox and smoked whitefish..." No lox and no snow crab. When I asked the waitress, I was told Fridays and Sunday brunch - no other time. I would have eaten somewhere else with fresh, hot food had I known that. Very disappointing meal but especially frustrated with the false advertising.

Decent food for the price. I give four stars not for quality (or service) but for value. The two of us ate for like $33 after Mt Airy card discount and we thought it was well worth the money. Great value if your really hungry!

Total trash... Never will go to this Casino again.. Most in friendly family resort.. Will spend my money in Las Vegas..

I think first there isn't much variety, not worth my money. Half of it was wasted on salad and lemons and sauses. The only seafood was cold shrimp and king crabs. The others were cooked was like salmon, cod and others I don't remember. The steak where the person helps you cut was really good if you asked for the cooked one. Not big fan of red and bloody steak. Even when its cooked, it not like hard or stiff. The dessert was pretty good from what my friends said. I am not that big of a fan of desserts so I didn't try it. Slow service, me and my friends were already finished with like three plates and they still didn't come to collect our plates. They didn't give us our drinks until I was done with my first plate.

I usually try for Friday or Sunday because they do more seafood but Sunday breakfast is great with a variety of things including omelets. It is an American buffet but they have a variety of foods to chose from and great desserts. Coffee is usually good and the staff does nice job on drinks and bussing out dishes.

Very disappointed with the Sunday brunch buffet. The selection was very limited and the food that was available was tired and tasteless. I was hoping for lots of variety especially in the breakfast category, such as waffles, pancakes and eggs. While those were offered, both the waffle and French toast were nearly inedible probably due to the amount of time it sat. The staff didn't smile. Any of them! I did like the chocolate fountain, but I think I won't come back here, especially not for a $25 buffet.

The food was just ok, Over the last year it has gone down hill. Most of the food tasted like it was cooked in a hurry and not much of a choice. The meat at the carving station was bland and dry and had no taste or flavor to it. The deserts section was smaller then last time with less choice of deserts.

I think I came to this restaurant knowing that less then $20 a person is not going to get me top notch food. Most Casino buffets are expensive and elaborate. I felt that the price made sense with what was provided. I did not have high expectations to begin with. The food was good... not great... not horrible. I do not think I ate anything I did not like. Just nothing was excellent. There could have been some more options, especially for soups, and side dishes. A lot of starch foods. Some more vegetable dishes would have been nice. What bothered me the most was the dessert section. It was a total mess. Just messy! Looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Also the section was so tiny that they had pies lined up in the back of the kitchen, and on the shelf behind the counter where you could barely see them. Therefore you had to ask one of the busy cooks what the pies were, and they had to serve it to you. They really should find a better system for that. There were many different pies to choose from, and sugar free options too.

Don't expect this place to be the like anything you will find on the Vegas strip, or even Atlantic city. The food looked and tasted as if it was siting there too long. What do you expect as the dinning room was only a quarter filled during dinner rush. Salty beef and hams, taco station chips rubbery.

I have been here many times for the senior discount day($12). For that price it is a good deal. Peel and eat shrimp plus the dessert selection covers the cost. The other reviewers are 1000% correct about the food which is average at best and often pretty bad. The service is also not very good. I tip accordingly.

The food at this buffet is top notch and the place is always clean. Our servers name was Horacio he was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy his job we need more people in the food industry like him. We will definitely visit here again.

Usually casino buffets are pretty good but this might of been frozen to table. Pasta of the day looked dry. Food is not labeled so you have to guess at some of the items. Nothing we had was excellent. The staff was very nice and the place was very clean. But i would have been happier at fast food place.

I've been here twice. Once for dinner and once for lunch. The lunch selection is not all that so I recommend you wait till dinner. Dinner is great here... Steak turkey salmon ham etc. and excellent dessert station with multiple cakes, cheesecakes, pies for your enjoyment! Try a piece of all of them!

I wasn't expecting Wicked Spoon or The Buffet at Bellagio (my two favorite casino buffets), but this was unforgivable. Foremost, at $20.00 per person (with tax), I expect bins to be full of hot basics. Instead, there were holes throughout the buffet with people waiting in line for staples like stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. And, no one behind the buffet seemed to be in any sort of rush to accommodate those patrons. (And, it warrants noting that there was not a smile to be found on even ONE of the staff's faces. Wow.) Most waiting for food ended up walking away. Outside of these gaps, the salad bar was the worst I have seen ... ever. There were exactly: two types of greens, limp cucumber slices, shredded cheddar cheese and wedges of questionable tomatoes. No radishes, mushrooms, hard-boiled eggs, shredded carrots, etc. NONE of that. And the dressing bin was vulgar ... dressings dripped into each other. No thanks. The mushy tomatoes were stomach-turning, so I set that plate aside. There was LITERALLY no bread left in the bins outside of a few soggy, sad, pre-packaged rolls (?). Unreal. I checked several times to see if it was replenished ... it never was. Never. The entrees and sides were shockingly sad. There were big sloppy bins of mac and cheese as well as farfalle with plain red-sauce. If I were blind-folded, I wouldn't be able to distinguish one from the other. The mac and cheese was that bland and watery. I sampled each and set those plates aside also. Let me be clear: this is ALL that there is for vegetarians. (There were some really old, gross looking slices of pizza ... that appeared to have been there forever. It's a stretch to consider that to be food). So, if you have someone with dietary restrictions in your party, it's best to reserve your meal for the Bethlehem/Allentown or Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area). At this point, having spent $40.00+ for our meal, we decided to try the desserts. Understand, you have to ASK for the dessert. Are you kidding me? So, we stood in front of a case with caramel goo crushed on the glass from the inside. At this point, I was done. How many times were those cases cleaned? Would there be Windex on the top of that cake? Why didn't ANYONE clean that mess? My mind was screaming a variety of unanswerable questions. I stood next to my companion as she waited, and waited, and waited for ANYONE to move over to this area. We gave up and went back to our seats. I sipped my soda, she sipped her coffee and we chatted. EVENTUALLY someone meandered over to this area and people began to line up ... TO ASK FOR DESSERT. LOL! She requested carrot cake ... I abstained. She poked at it and set that to the side, too. I tried to tell her that we needn't have waited. If one cannot make an edible mac and cheese, one certainly doesn't have "the chops" to make dessert. Certainly, there was no lack of palette-less gluttons cramming as much food in their faces as they could. So go here if you are seeking a crazy freak-show. Outside of this, know that this place takes zero pride in what they deliver to their customers. (If it were half the price, I would still be writing this same review. When I tell you that this food was inedible, I mean it!) As we walked away, I literally said, "We gambled and lost ... at the buffet." We will never, ever return to this resort. If this is the best they have (we have tried Guy Fieri's Mt. Pocono Kitchen a few months ago ... equally as bad), we will reserve our gambling for our bi-yearly trips to Vegas or (if the urge strikes) The Mohegan Sun in Wilkes Barre (Rustic Kitchen there is okay). Nota bene: This casino/resort is in the middle of nowhere ... so, don't expect to find a "nice place" "in the area" for your group. Everything outside the resort is SUPER dated and run-down.

Lousy. You're better off investing the money in a meal at one of the restaurants in the casino. I've eaten at the buffet for a few business functions and I've never had a good experience. Definitely a disappointment since the buffet is one of the most highly marketed.

Lets start with I hate buffets and you can choose to read on or not. Although I must say they do have quite a collection of food, beware of the stuff that sits around! Everything was kind of lukewarm and some of the pasta was pretty crusty. Boyfriend absolutely loved it but his stomach is like an inferno. Not mine. Buffets always make me leave feeling ill. This one, no different.

Honestly, I cannot complain. Sure there are some areas that are lacking in terms of the options. But there are times when there are discounts with a player's card along with a price tag of 19.99 for dinner. For a buffet, that is not bad at all. From NYC - you cannot get a buffet at the cost with the amount of food that is provided. Ok, I should not compare apples to oranges BUT based on my experiences, this is altogether not bad. For weekdays, the price is lower, compared to weekends. But during Fridays and Sunday brunch - there are additional seafood offerings, so there you go! Who could ask for anything more. Besides, Poconos is somewhat of a small town in terms of their restaurant availabilities, so this is a great spot to enjoy a LARGE meal, clean bathrooms, and a cool view of the water. I am actually ok with this casino (although I do not gamble) to bring my children, and to just enjoy/have a good time. I mean, this might be not be a Vegas-style Rio Grand type of buffet but so what! It is for a portion of the cost and if you have a player's card on specific days, there are discounts. I guess maybe my version of a buffet is not a rushed feeling of packing your stomach, but more of a relaxed moment to eat when I want and for how long I want (some restaurants have time limits for buffet style meals). There was recently a newly added Chinese food section. The carving station I find to be ok. The desserts are also plentiful. Sunday brunches are my favorite with antipasti and seafood choices, too! Yippee! Make sure you tip the waiter/waitresses!

Food is like regular cafeteria food. I am glad I only paid $9.99. The bad: bread sticks were hard and old, pastas had no real flavor. The good: soup, mozzarella squares were delicious, cheesecake was nice and creamy, and ice cream bar had a lot of toppings. Would not go back unless it was free.

It's a ok buffet ... The deserts are amazing other wise it's just a convenience stop ... Betty's diner is the better option while at the casino

Let me first say that I am not a fan of buffets, in general. I hate the idea of fighting through tons of people to get your food. I prefer to be served my food instead of constantly having to get up, etc., etc. - you get my point. That being said, my wife and I were meeting up with a group of people and they wanted to go here so that's what we did. Some basics - conveniently located right off the casino floor and $21.99 per person ($2 off with your players card). We ended up going for the seafood fest/buffet that they have on Friday nights. The overall selection was pretty good and I must say that it was one of the nicer buffets that I have been to. The main attraction was the crab legs - they were served cold which I thought was a little strange and not my preference. The crab legs were just OK - nothing special. There was also peel n eat shrimp, a carving station and they also advertised sushi. The sushi was nothing more than just some California rolls so I was a little disappointed by that. The meat they had at the carving station was OK. I did happen to like the seafood ravioli that was in the "Italian" section - I thought that was one of the better items at the buffet. I think the best part of the buffet was the dessert. They had a pretty massive spread of different cakes, pies, cheesecakes, ice creams, etc. I had a piece of a chocolate type cheesecake and it was actually very good. Overall, it was an OK meal. It isn't the type of place that I would come back to on my own but not a terrible value at $20/person. The place can also get pretty packed, so you may also have to wait a little to get seated. Our waiter was very good about refilling drinks throughout the meal which was a nice plus.

Hit or miss with the food. The cake chef is awesome! Watermelon and cucumber pudding was weird and amazing at the same time. Meat over cooked. Veggies were good.

For a buffet, this is a good one. The Friday night seafood buffet is always busy. We go to the Friday buffet at least once a month. Friday is the night they have crab legs. For crab legs from a buffet, these are good. Much better than any of the buffets in Atlantic City. My only complaint is the service is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a decent server who is on the ball and other times you get a lousy server who it seems is spending a lot of free time someplace else.

I went to this Buffett 3 times while my wife and I stayed at this resort. The first night was on a friday which is seafood fest night. I do not like crabs but my wife does so I was very happy to go because I love seeing her happy. Dang! They blew it. The crabs were sitting on ice they were freezing and hard to pick. We are from Maryland and Maryland serves hot steamed crab legs. Maybe it's a Pennsylvania way of eating crabs, Im not sure. She also said the shrimp was ice cold as well. I am not a big seafood eater, so I focused on the other items. Wow, can I say how disappointed I was? The food was lukewarm and some spots of the food like the beefaroni was cold. We walked out the first night paying $10 extra each because it was seafood feat night and disappointed. The next two visits were better. The food was hot and tastier but there wasn't a big variety like you get at other resorts. All in all it was an ok place to eat. Not worth the $42 per person on seafood fest night tho.

There were many options, and all but two were awful. The meal had me feeling ill afterward. Aside from the bad food, the place does look nice, so that's something positive about it.
